Inauguration of Anti-Poaching Patrol Camp co-Financed by Yahoo! Japan and UNDP

On the 4th of November 2017, Hon. Mr. Pohamba Shifeta, Minister of Environment and Tourism, Ms. Kiki Gbeho, UNDP’s Resident Representative and H.E. Mr. Hideyuki Sakamoto, Ambassador of Japan, inaugurated an anti-poaching patrol camp which was built with 71,000 USD co-financed by Yahoo! Japan and the UNDP Namibia’s project titled “Strengthening the Capacity of Protected Area System to Address New Management Challenges”. The new anti-poaching patrol camp will help Namibia progress in its fight against poaching and in conserving of wildlife.
