Important Notes
- Japanese language proficiency will be assessed during the selection process, especially for undergraduate studies in “Social Sciences and Humanities A” (law, politics, pedagogy, sociology, literature, history, Japanese language, others excluding economics and business administration).
- The grantees are in principle expected to carry out their respective undergraduate studies in Japanese after one-year intensive preparatory education on the Japanese language and other necessary subjects.
- The applicants are encouraged to do extensive research regarding requirements for pursuing their careers in the fields of their choice, approaching the different councils or authorities that regulate the fields. Some professional fields, such as dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and veterinary, have certain requirements for practicing in Namibia after completing relevant studies overseas.
- In some circumstances such as travel restrictions or curfew, there are possibilities that the selection process will be cancelled or applicants will not be able to come to Japan even after being selected as scholarship students.
