Handover of a New Orphanage Center to the Charity Faith Mission Church in Katima Mulilo, Zambezi Region

On the 12th of July 2018, a handover ceremony of a new orphanage center which was funded by the Government of Japan through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Charity Faith Mission Church in Katima Mulilo, Zambezi Region. The Charity Faith Mission is a non-profit organisation established in 2008, and provides care and education to orphans in the surrounding communities.
H.E. Mr. Hideaki Harada, Ambassador of Japan, representing the Government of Japan handed over the facility to the Charity Faith Mission Church, in the presence of Hon. Ms. Doreen Sioka, Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare who represented the Government of the Republic of Namibia.
The grant assistance amounting to NAD 851,005.28 was utilised to build a new block consisting of 2 classrooms, 2 storerooms and ablutions facilities. With the new facility, the organisation can now accommodate, and provide services to, more orphans from the surrounding communities.
