Handover of a New School Building to the Tobias Hainyeko Primary School in Tobias Hainyeko Constituency, Khomas Region

On 22nd November 2018, a handover ceremony of a new school block which was funded by the Government of Japan through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Tobias Hainyeko Primary School in Tobias Hainyeko Constituency, Khomas Region. H.E. Mr. Hideaki Harada, Ambassador of Japan, representing the Government of Japan handed over the facility to Hon. Ms Anna Nghipondoka, Deputy Minister of Education, Arts & Culture who represented the Government of the Republic of Namibia.
The grant assistance amounting to NAD 942,418.80 was utilised to build four classrooms and a store room. Upon handing over the facility, all the Grade 1 learners of 160, who were studying in the afternoon, can now learn in the morning. The Japan’s assistance made it possible for the school to provide a conducive educational environment for learners.
