Prior to the monitoring visit, Ambassador HARADA paid a courtesy call to Hon. Erginus Endjala, Governor of Omusati Region, at the Regional Council. Ambassador then visited the Outapi district hospital in the town, where he was briefed on the use of the Hepatitis E rapid diagnostic tests provided through this project. Afterwards, in an informal settlement area “Onhimbo Location” in Outapi, Ambassador HARADA was also briefed on the activities of the Namibian Red Cross volunteers who are conducting hygiene promotion activities as part of the project. Some children in the area showed the delegation how they wash their hands using tippy taps installed under the project.
