The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to Namibian teachers who wish to conduct research on school education at designated Japanese universities as Teacher Training Students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program.

Application (Deadline: 3 February 2023)
Please read through and follow the Guidelines carefully in completing your application.
A complete set of application documents must be delivered to “Cultural & Information Section of the Embassy of Japan in Namibia” (Address: 78 Sam Nujoma Drive, Klein Windhoek, P.O. Box 23025, Windhoek) by hand or other reliable methods by 3 February 2023. Any application submitted via FAX or email will not be accepted.
Only short-listed applicants will be contacted by the Embassy by late February 2023. Written examinations and interviews are tentatively scheduled for late February to early March 2023. It is strongly advised to prepare for the examinations by going through the past MEXT Scholarship exams papers: Because past examination questions of courses for Teacher Training Students have not been disclosed, please refer to the Japanese and English examination questions in the Past Examination Questions for other courses below.
