Japan-WHO-Namibia Trilateral Cooperation: Handover of Ultrasound Scanners

On 25 October, 2021, Ambassador HARADA, together with the World Health Organization (WHO) officially handed over 16 ultrasound scanners to Hon. Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, Minister of Health and Social Services at the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Windhoek.
 
The donation of ultrasound scanners is a part of the Japan-WHO-Namibia trilateral cooperation project “Improvement of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Services to mitigate the impact of COVID-19”, which was officially launched in March 2021.
 
The ultrasound scanners will be distributed to health facilities in Namibia and contribute to improved maternal health services.
