On 11 May 2022, Mr. SHIMOGAITE Ichiro, Chargés d'affaires ad interim, handed over 4 classrooms of Klein Aub Resource School renovated with Japanese funding to Hon. Salomon April, Governor of Hardap Region.
The Japan-Namibia-UNICEF trilateral project launched in March 2022 has been implemented through UNICEF with Japanese funding worth US$586,800. Through the project, resource and mainstream schools have been supported with supplies and equipment for enabling learners with disability and special needs to continue learning safely in the COVID-19 pandemic.
To secure quality education for learners of Klein Aub Resource School, a school block with 4 classrooms was renovated as part of the projects.
At the ceremony, Hon. Salomon April expressed heartfelt gratitude for Japan’s support for learners in Hardap Region through this trilateral project and the ongoing construction project of additional classrooms at A.A. Denk Memorial School.
